AED Purchases

Anyone is at risk of sudden cardiac arrest, and that’s why it’s best to always be prepared. For this reason, the American Heart Association urges people to always be ready with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in the case of an emergency.

If you are looking to invest in the safety of your facility by purchasing an AED, Kern CPR is happy to provide equipment consultation to help you in the selection process. We encourage management to work with EMS to implement an AED program and place the device in visible accessible locations.

  • Cardiac arrest is an electrical malfunction in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) and disrupts the flow of blood to the brain, lungs and other organs and is a leading cause of death.
  •  For a person in sudden cardiac arrest every minute that goes by without the electrical shock of defibrillation decreases their chance of living by 7 to 10 percent.
  •  AEDs should be used 3 to 5 minutes after collapse, similarly to the same time it would take for an ambulance to travel to its destination.
  •  AEDs are the only medically certified resource that can stop SCA during an emergency.

*From selection to training, our team at Kern CPR is happy to help you with all of your AED needs.
