ACLS is taught through a number of simulated clinical scenarios that allow the student to learn through being a team leader and other roles. Basic life support, how to recognize and initiate management of arrest and peri-arrest utilizing knowledge of strip identification and use of algorithms. Care of strokes and accuse chest pain and cardiac arrest are also covered.
The course is designed for medical providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
